This was my first big order, and I was so happy with the theme and everything. It took me 5 days to make the sweet table for this event. As I’m learning along the way, for this particular event I made the two-tier cake for the first time, and it didn’t fell apart. I was so worried that that was going to happen that I was checking the cake, like, 10 times a day. It’s like I had another baby. The reason I was so worried is that these two cakes that are on top of each other are not the classic American cakes with thick layers. They are more European cakes with thin layers and lots of filling, so it really is a miracle that they survived this “journey”:). Don’t even let me get started on how I took the pictures of this cake. I carried it like I was carrying a bomb. I traveled from one room to another for half an hour, and, after I finished, I looked like I ran a marathon — not a great look let me tell you that… The first cake was my all-time favorite with roasted almonds, white chocolate and grounded cookies, and the second one is the same. What can I say? I’m obsessed with this cake :). The guests loved them. Some even came back for a second piece :-).
Along with the margarita cake pops, they were delicious, made out of Nutella — no need to say more.
