This is a dessert that looks amazing, tastes amazing, and you can easily make it, even if you have zero experience with baking. Everyone will love it and they will think how amazing and talented a baker you are (despite the truth that you never stepped your foot in the kitchen before), but whatever you do, don’t reveal your secret. You can make this tart in any shape or size, and you can put on it whatever you find in your kitchen, or your garden:). The possibilities are really limitless. When it comes to the taste, I struggled with the frosting. I couldn’t find the recipe for the frosting that is firm enough so it could handle the second crust without any problems. I eventually figured it out by myself :D. I will reveal to you the secret for the perfect, most delicious tart!

Recipe

Crust:

  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3 cups flour

Frosting:

  • 400g cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1tsp vanilla
  • 400ml heavy whipping cream

Heat your oven on 360°.
In a small pan, mix together the eggs, sugar, honey, salt and vanilla, then add the butter. Heat the mixture till the point of boiling, stirring constantly. Move the pan from the stove and put in the baking powder. Let it cool for about 5 min.

Mix in 1 1/2 cups of flour, stir until combined. Put the rest of the flour on your working surface and mix your dough. Wrap it with plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for an hour. Roll the dough so it gets 1 inch thick. Then use the heart shape cutters and cut your hearts. Put them on the parchment paper and bake for 7 minutes. When you remove them from the oven, let them stay for couple of minutes in the pan, then move them to the cooling rack to cool completely. If you want them to be in a shape of the letter or number just print the letter/number in the size your tart should be. Cut the excess paper around it. Cut that number or a letter on top of your dough and just simply cut around it until you get the desired shape.

Frosting

Combine the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla. Beat the heavy whipping cream until firm. Mix these two mixtures by hand just until combined.

Put the frosting in your piping bag and pipe your tart. Put another tart on top of the frosting then frost again. Decorate with whatever you find in your kitchen/garden 🙂
